2020 Risk & Insurance Symposium

Like many events, the 2020 Risk & Insurance Symposium is being cancelled due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Our team worked hard to implement stringent social distancing measures for this event, but with increasing active cases across our state, the risk to the health and safety of participants and our employees was too great.

In lieu of the Symposium, we are launching a webinar series in conjunction with the Tennessee Municipal League. To learn more about the webinars or to register, please click here.

Individuals who registered for the Symposium are being contacted to let them know the event is being cancelled.

While we will not be meeting in person, we will still recognize the hard work our members devote to safety and risk management through the Excellence in Risk Management Awards. The deadline for nominations has been extended through Monday, August 10th. Excellence in Risk Management Award

The Excellence in Risk Management Award honors members of Public Entity Partners who exemplify excellence, innovation, creativity, and commitment to providing quality safety and risk management programs within their entities. This award is designed to recognize entities of all sizes that make use of available resources to creatively implement safety programs. Examples of risk management are found in all operations, from utilizing technology, to creating/updating proper documentation and repair orders, or jump starting a safety committee.

This award is usually presented during the Risk & Insurance Symposium. While we are not able to hold the Symposium this year, we will still be recognizing the hard work of our members and their commitment to risk management and safety
