James L Richardson Driver Safety Grant

This grant program offers financial assistance to PE Partners members to address training needs and safety concerns for employees that operate city / agency vehicles.  Examples of items that qualify to be purchased through this grant are:

    • Instructor led training
    • DVD training
    • Back up camera and alarms
    • GPS tracking systems
    • Alert systems to administrators (such as vehicle black box technology)
    • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks

PE Partner members with Automobile Liability coverage are eligible to apply.  

 

Please note that MVR checks will be reimbursed at 100%, up to your entity’s eligibility amount.

Public Entity Partners’ primary deadline has closed, however, any applications completed at this time will be placed in a “pending” category to see if any funding remains to potentially fund these grant responses.

ONCE A GRANT APPLICATION HAS BEEN APPROVED, APPLICANTS WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO COMPLETE REIMBURSEMENT:

  • Copy of grant "Notification of Approval" letter
  • Copy of signed Resolution/Motion when completed
  • Cover sheet listing description of items purchased, quantities and total of purchases. All receipts must follow in exact order of cover sheet.
  • Copy of cancelled check OR credit card receipt, proving payment of items purchased
  • Copy of invoice OR purchase order, serving as description/detail to items purchased
