SESSION DESCRIPTION: Well-designed and lawful hiring practices are critical in selecting the right person for the job; and, for reducing your exposure to employment practices liability. This session will look at these foundational points in the design of hiring and selection: 

1.           Objective, impartial judgements of Knowledge, Skill, Ability and Other job-related characteristics (KSAOs),

2.           The screen-in processes (background checking, pre-employment drug testing [safety sensitive], & other potential hazards), and

3.           The critical nature of your personnel policies and practices, and some key laws that affect them.
