July Partnering for Success Webinar: About the Center for Local Planning

Please join us on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, for a Q&A session with Josh Suddath, Executive Director of the Center for Local Planning (CLP), at the University of Tennessee Institute for Public Service.

The CLP was funded by the Tennessee General Assembly in 2025 to serve as a resource for local governments who are unserved or underserved in the area of land use planning. According to Josh, CLP “serves as a resource to help communities plan for growth and infrastructure needs, preserve rural character, and comply with requirements established by the Tennessee General Assembly.”

During the webinar, Josh will provide an overview of the various services and resources available through the agency. He will also talk about what agency staff have worked on since the agency’s inception, and what they will be working on in the coming months to assist you and your community with your planning and land use needs.
