New Workers' Compensation Glossary Available

Workers’ compensation claims can involve terminology that may be unfamiliar to those who do not work with claims on a regular basis. Understanding those terms can make it easier to follow the claims process, communicate with adjusters and better understand what to expect as a claim progresses.

During the Claims team’s presentation at this year’s PEP Symposium, several members expressed interest in having a resource that defines commonly used workers’ compensation terms. In response to that feedback, PEP has developed a Workers’ Compensation Glossary of Terms as a quick reference for members.

The glossary provides straightforward definitions of terms members may encounter throughout the life of a workers’ compensation claim, helping provide additional clarity around the claims process and the language used along the way.

The Workers’ Compensation Glossary of Terms is included with this newsletter for your reference and will also be available on the PEP website soon.

We appreciate the feedback from our members, and are always looking for opportunities to develop resources that make it easier to understand and navigate PEP’s programs and services.
