Sarah Curtis has joined PE Partners as a loss control training consultant. She brings a decade of experience in instructional design and training while working with local governments through the Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) training program.

During her tenure with MTAS, Sarah worked on several projects, including development and delivery of custom training programs and the statewide leadership development program, as well as several technical training and personal development classes for municipal governments. In addition to her training experience, Sarah is also certified as a master instructional designer through the Association for Talent Development, is a DiSC certified facilitator, and recently received her Situational Approach to Leadership designation.

Public Entity Partners’ loss control training program is responsible for designing, developing and implementing member training that is aimed at reducing member losses. Loss control training includes high-risk areas, such as law enforcement and employment practices liability. As a training consultant, Sarah will coordinate in-person, online and DVD training offerings, and will assist the regional loss control consultants as they provide training in their respective territories and specialties.

“We are excited to have Sarah as part of our loss control team and lending her expertise to our training program,” said Chester Darden, director of loss control. “Her passion for serving municipalities is a perfect fit for us and our members. Public Entity Partners’ training program is a key part of the risk management programs of many of our members. We look forward to continuing to provide great training that targets our members’ losses and is engaging.”

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2007 and a Master of Arts in Sociology in 2011 from Middle Tennessee State University, and completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama in 2016.

“I grew up in a small town in Middle Tennessee, where it is easy to see the impact local government has on your day-to-day life,” Sarah said. “That appreciation grew during my time at MTAS, where we worked to design and implement training that met the needs of cities and towns. I am excited to focus on providing training for local governments that enhance risk management and safety.”
