Register for the Police Risk Management Conference

There is still time to register for the 2024 Legal & Liability Risk Management Institute’s Police Risk Management Conference, to be held April 29 - May 1 at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Franklin. Public Entity Partners is proud to be co-sponsoring this event and encourages all who can attend to register early. This year’s theme is “Putting a Vest on Claims – Litigation – Losses.”

Risk & Insurance Symposium 2024

Save the date for Public Entity Partners’ 2024 Risk & Insurance Symposium, scheduled for Aug. 21-23 at the Cool Springs Marriott in Franklin. This three-day, in-person educational and networking event will provide attendees with courses aimed at local government risk management and touch on emerging risk exposures.

Excellence in Risk Management PRIMA Scholarship

Applications for the “Excellence in Risk Management” Scholarship for the 2024 National Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) Conference will be available on Jan. 31. The goal of this scholarship is to promote professional public risk management by providing greater educational opportunities, training and peer networking opportunities to risk managers, safety directors and other public employees who have risk management responsibilities.

Portable Heater Safety

Now that cold weather has arrived, the use of portable and fixed space heaters increases, along with the risk of structural fires. Although safety standards and features, such as automatic cutoff devices, have been added to portable heaters over the years, the misuse of these devices can lead to property loss, injury and death.

PEP is pleased to announce that the following individuals have received either full or partial scholarships to this year’s conference, which will be held Nov. 14-16, 2023, in Franklin at the Embassy Suites by Hilton.
